theredsunband are pleased to announce that they will be accompanying Magic Dirt on their album launch tour in August. Playing East Coast shows, the band will continue showcasing songs from the new records as well as old favourites.

'The Shiralee' is now available at the shops. Our favourite shops are Red Eye and Hum in Sydney. Thanks to all the folks who came along to our in-store at Red Eye and made it so enjoyable. Hurrah to releasing records!

theredsunband are launching the 'Like an Arrow' EP at the Annandale Hotel on Saturday 19th of January. The EP will be available for purchase for $10. The very special guests on the night will be Richard In Your Mind and The Straight Arrows.

Things are going alright. Like an Arrow was the second most played song on triple j last week. Cool. Our little tour with Liam Finn is going well too. Almost finished... only four more shows left. Looking forward to the Annandale...

theredsunband have a new song on the radio called Like an Arrow. It's the title track of our new five song EP. It's on sale now. Of the five tracks, Like an Arrow is the only one which will appear on both the EP and the album, The Shiralee, which is due to be released in February 2008. The other four songs are exclusive to the release and were recorded over theredsunband's three year absence, with various people at different studios and houses.

We're doing our first ever residency and thankfully it's at our spiritual home, the Hopetoun Hotel in Surry Hills. Different bands will be supporting us every week, so check the tour dates. It is FREE ENTRY so there's no excuse for not coming along and having a couple of drinks. The shows are in the early evening, starting at 6. It'll all be over by 10pm, so there's plenty of time to go home and get a good rest before work the next day. I think we'll be playing at around 9. We'll be playing songs from Peapod, as well as new stuff, and real old stuff... b-sides and the like. We're finally playing a show. It's at the annandale with Bluebottle Kiss. They're recording a live album over two nights. Also, the mixing for the second record is being wrapped up this week.
